Attainable Home Ownership in Calgary
Thousands of moderate-income Calgarians cannot afford to purchase their own home. They live in a never-ending rent cycle, unable to build equity for the future. Many working individuals and families, face uncertainty about their rental accommodation and rates. To most, owning a home is literally a dream.
Attainable home ownership is based on a successful model across North America and abroad. Attainable Homes Calgary Corporation (AHCC) provides land to be pooled with private sector so that an attainable price can be achieved based on economies of scale, not by reducing quality or specifications.
The Attainable Home Ownership Program (AHOP) creates a new way for Calgarians to own a home by providing a hand-up into home ownership and allows individuals and families to start earning equity in their own home. We look forward to helping hundreds of Calgarians realize their dream of home ownership.
